    Great IWB holsters

    Excellent IWB holsters for any pistol. They are light weight, sturdy, tight-fitting to the body and protect the slide against your body from perspiration. Retention is simple but completely effective. The price is very reasonable for the quality.

    Close, but no cigar.

    I am actually a pretty big fan of CYA holsters, I have bought a total of 5-6 of them and recommend them to everyone I know who is looking for an IWB style holster. However, I do believe that CYA has missed the mark on this one; especially when it is compared with the other holsters that they make. First of all, this holster does not have the positive retention that my other CYA holsters have. SO in other words, you secure your pistol into the holster and get no "click" that you would get with other similar holsters when you slide your gun in. Also the fit to my LCP II w/ this holster was exceptionally tight out of the box, so tight to where I thought that I was sent the wrong holster. I ended up loosening the screws for a better fit and it was still pretty tight; so tight to the point of where there were plastic shavings coming off of the inside of the holster and onto my gun while drawing and holstering. I fixed this by tightening and loosening and drawing/holstering the gun several times. Much plastic shavings came out of the holster after about 100 times of drawing/holstering, now the fit is better, but still not up to par w/ my other CYA products. Lastly, I believe that the clip is mounted too low on this particular holster. What I mean by this is that there is not any mass of the gun that is sitting below the clip while the gun is holstered and secured to a belt, so the gun protrudes out over your belt (there is more of the gun exposed above the belt rather than below…

    The best I could find

    I bought the CYA IWB kydex for a newly purchased Ruger LCP 2. I also added a Hogue Grip. The holster is a perfect fit even with the Hogue grip. I didn't have to trim or modify the Hogue at all in order to make it fit. In my opinion, CYA makes the best holster on the market today, having tried many others without success.
